Fort St John Farmer’s Market
I managed to find time to stop at the opening day of the Fort St John Farmer’s Market yesterday. Sources say they are filled to capacity and will still need to fit more tables once vegetables season kicks in. It’s great to see so many people working hard at home to bring us the market every week.
Some of the items I saw for sale were:
- buffalo and lamb meat
- starter vegetable and flower plants
- baked goods of all varieties
- honey *The man at the honey table said they will have quite the bee and hive display on site in 3 weeks time. Bring the kids
- handicrafts of all sorts – knitting, crochet, sewing, woodwork, jewelry, bath products, etc
Take the time to stop by soon. They are open every Saturday from 9am-3pm until December.
